FROM ZERO TO AIRLINE PILOT

Pelican Flight Training is a professional flight school with more than 35 years of experience, that provides flight training for both fixed wings and helicopters. Your final goal is obviously is to become an Airline Pilot, but on the way to your dream at the beginning you should get to the Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) level Instrument Rated and with Multi Engine Rating if needed.  Our school can bring you to this CPL level in two different ways, supported by two types of Student Visa, M-1 and F-1. M-1 visa could be used for any combination of the courses, but if you wish to get not just Commercial Pilot Licence but  also to develop your carrier and be interviewed and potentially hired by the Airline, you may need to consider to be enrolled in Full Professional Pilot Program A, subject to F-1 Visa.

M1 Student Visa the most commonly used in the United States type of flight training visa. You will be able to take the course/courses, receive your licences and/or certificates, and when it will be done you should leave United States during 30 days after your program end date.

1. Private Pilot License Course

The private pilot certificate permits the holder to act as pilot in command of a single engine airplane while carrying passengers without being paid, it could be your friends or family members. This course is for those who have not yet decided if flying for a career is their desire. Students who, after completing this program, decide to pursue flying as a career, may enroll in the Commercial Pilot Certification Program or the Professional Pilot Diploma Program "A" and have credit for the Private Pilot Certification Course.

2. Instrument Rating Course

The Instrument pilot rating course is for students who have completed the Private Pilot or Commercial Pilot Certification Course and that will allow the student to obtain the knowledge, skill, and aeronautical experience necessary to meet the requirements to operate an aircraft in instrument meteorological conditions (IFR) in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations. This course is based on the minimum time requirements of FAA Regulations. If you may need additional hours over and above these minimums it will be charged only for that extra hours at school published rates.

3. Commercial Pilot License (SEL)

The commercial pilot certificate permits the holder to act as pilot in command of an airplane carrying passengers or other property while being paid for services as pilot or required crew member. A commercial pilot may engage in such operations as charter, air taxi, aircraft ferry or delivery, agricultural applications, corporate/airline pilot and instructing (with appropriate additional instructor certificates). This certificate is the basic qualification for the career pilot.

3. Commercial Pilot License with Multi Engine rating

This course is designed for those students who already holds a Private Pilot License with Instrument Rating and who is going straight to Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with Multi Engine Rating (MEL), without need to do commercial flights in single engine aircraft. Commercial Pilot License permits the holder to act as pilot in command of an airplane carrying passengers or other property while being paid for services as pilot or required crew member. A commercial pilot may engage in such operations as charter, air taxi, aircraft ferry or delivery, agricultural applications, corporate/airline pilot and even instructing (when he will get appropriate instructor certificates). This CPL MEL certification is the basic qualification for the career pilot.

3. Commercial Pilot LicenSe Single Engine with MEL Add-on

F1 Student Visa is the only type of student visa which gives you the opportunity to have practical training in the United States after the successful graduation of your educational professional program. It means that when your training will be done completely and successfully you may have a possibility to apply for official practical training which means you will be able to fly, gain experience, build the required 1500 hours for your future airline career and work as certified flight instructor or as a pilot in the regional airlines and even may be sponsored for the relevant type rating. When your program and OPT is finished you will have 60 days when you may transfer to begin program at another school or institution or should return to your home country to implement your professional knowledge. When you take this Program you have to successfully pass all the course and complete your practical training to graduate and receive your Diploma.

3. Commercial Pilot Licence Single engine with MEL add-on

This course will be started when you already have Private Pilot License with Instrument Rating. Commercial Pilot License permits the holder to act as pilot in command of an airplane carrying passengers or other property while being paid for services as pilot or required crew member. A commercial pilot may engage in such operations as charter, air taxi, aircraft ferry or delivery, agricultural applications, corporate/airline pilot. This CPL SEL and MEL certification is the basic universal qualification for the career pilot.

5. Airline Interview

Pelican Flight Training currently guarantees to its successful graduates, who have an 80%+ passing rate and all the check rides passed from the 1 attempt, at least 3 interviews for OPT employment (a subject for the governmental approval) with the following partnering employers:
